Made of bronze super-alloy with startling flexibility, the 18" Boomywang sends out max wobble (vibrato) if hit dead center or downward into the hollow side of the bottom tail. This larger-length Boomywang hybrid can vibrato at different rates depending on where it is hit. Hand percussionists often hit Boomywang with a downward hand slap into the hollow side of the tail. The Hammerax effect cymbal can also be punched with a hammer blow style punch, or you can ride it for a very dark sound with a hint of highs. People notice that the wobble of Boomywang constantly shifts the overtone wash so no one sound ever creates a peak. The result is a wild, yet smooth effect.
