Here is your chance to own a super rare bass that is regarded as Warwick’s best overall and most versatile creation. There were only 250 made and they were NAMM special orders, this one is number 11. It is hand signed by the owner of the company as well. It is in fantastic condition and plays like a dream. The electronics are incredible, there are 3 push/pulls onboard too (I can send a diagram of what the electronics controls are, they are all stock).
Koa top with ash body, ovangkol neck with ebony fingerboard, and bell brass frets. Has the adjustable nut as Warwicks typically do, so you can adjust but height on the fly. This bass isn’t too heavy like most Warwick’s tend to be, it’s very comfortable.
I just replaced the tuners with brand new Gotoh tuners that are better than the originals. I will include the originals too, but 2 ferrules are stripped on them. The strap buttons are Dunlop locking ones, and the strings are DR pure blues 40-100. The action is INSANELY low!!! The previous owner put some dots on the knobs in white nail polish, put clear nail polish over the signature on the headstock and the gold “MEC” logos on the pickups, and used a much too large flatwound low E string which dimpled the wood a little bit as shown in the last pic. In person, you really have to took for it.
I just bought this hoping to use it as my main bass, but due to a hand injury, I’m forced to sell it sadly. I looked for a long time for this, they NEVER pop up. The last one was a couple of years ago.
I’m listing this in “very good” condition because I like to underpromise and over deliver, this thing is pretty squeaky clean.
Will ship expertly packed and insured, in a generic gig bag (it didn’t have a case when I bought it).
