1960 Fender Stratocaster - Refinished Weight - 7.3lbs
*Please do not ask to communicate or make a transaction outside of Reverb.
*A number of people have asked me to remove the neck again and take pictures of the markings there. I had the neck professionally removed and photographed by the guitar tech. Im not comfortable removing the neck myself again. There is no marking on the neck. This appears to be common for this year of strats to be missing it from the research I did. If someone knows more about this please let me know.
-------------------------------------------------------------
This was my grandmas guitar who actually died before I was born. My uncle took responsibility of this guitar and it has been sitting in his closet since 1987. It was in his will for me to inherit this if anything should happen to him.
It just so happens that in my life I ended up being a guitarist and now have possession. It was brought to me in the summer of 2020.
In 1987 my uncle brought the guitar to a fender specialist at Jeff's Guitar Repair. It had over $800 worth of repairs done to it, including parts. Quoted here is the breakdown of the work from the original receipt (located in photo gallery):
"Remove old finish and clean usable parts. Remove frets and plane fingerboard. Install new frets, level and crown. Refinish guitar. Install all edectrueure?? (not sure of this word). Adjust play ability of guitar."
- DiMarzio Vintage Replacement Heads
- x2 DiMarzio VS-1 Pick Ups
- x3 250k Pot.
- 5 Position Switch
- Pick Guard
- Control Knobs
- Tremolo Arm
- Back Plate
The guitar is in fantastic condition and plays well. There are some dings, dents and scratches which I did my best to take good pictures of. Considering its age and what its been through looks great.
Please feel free to be in touch if you have any questions. I want to be totally transparent with everything I know about this guitar.
Thanks,
Connor
