Up for sale is an original and hard to find 1966 - 1969 Gibson / Epiphone - Thunderbird / Embassy bass pickup. If you know anything about these pickups, you know that the Lollar and Duncan versions are "kind of" - sort of" close to the sound of the original pickup.... But certainly no cigar. Not to mention if you're going to try to install a Lollar/Duncan Thunderbird pickup in a 60's Thunderbird, you're going to have to remove some wood from the pickup cavity to do it. Factoid... The Thunderbird pickup copies are all slightly larger than the real deal such as this one.
Based on the output numbers shown, this original example is simply a beast. Additionally, the 1966 - 1969 non-reverse Thunderbird pickups packed a little bit more oomph than the earlier reverse Thunderbirds.
