This is a Shure 515SB Unidyne B Dynamic Microphone from the 1970s. It is a low impedance mic with an attached 14-ft cord and an XLR end. It has a frequency response of 80 Hz to 13 kHz. It's good for live or studio use on vocals, electric guitar, snare drum and toms.

The microphone has an on-off switch that can be locked in the on position.  It is in very good condition and works perfectly. Like the similar SM57, these vintage American-made Shure microphones sound great and are nearly indestructible.
