About This Listing

The Boss FT-2 was an auto-wah/filter style effect that created a more pronounced bass sound than the TW-1 Touch Wah.

The FT-2 has a much larger range of effects than the TW-1 mainly due to it's useful Cutoff Frequency knob. When used normally, this knob controls the overall tone of the effect. When set to Manual mode, this knob adjusts the overall frequency like an EQ or tone control that is capable of mid boosted "cocked wah" style tones.

The FT-2's filter can either be controlled by the sensitivity of the playing dynamics or by using the Expression Out jack connected to an expression pedal to act as a traditional wah-wah pedal.

Overall sales of the FT-2 were very slow (likely due to the pedals confusing name) and it was discontinued only 2 years after it's release.

Produced from October 1986 until December 1988.

Collectors quality! Near perfect condition and includes box, Japanese manual, stickers and paperwork.
