This is one of Yamaha’s most sought-after and popular collectible acoustics.  This guitar is essentially Yamaha’s clone of Martin’s fabulous, multi-thousand dollar D-35.  Like the D-35, the FG365S has a solid spruce top over beautiful rosewood sides and three-piece back.  The back panels are separated by beautiful and intricate wood inlaid marquetry strips.  The bridge and fretboard are solid rosewood and the neck is solid mahogany.  Higher-end features include a fully bound fretboard and headstock, along with a rosewood overlay on the headstock.  The Yamaha name is inlaid in mother-of-pearl and the fret markers are mother-of-pearl diamonds.  The top boasts six-ply binding (like a Martin) with three-ply on the back.  Closed-back tuners, of course.

My particular example has led a charmed life having a virtually ding and scratch-free back, sides and headstock.  The face has only four small surface dings and a few shallow “worm tracks.”  There is not, nor has there ever been, any cracks, splits, loose braces or repairs.  For a 37 year old, she shows very little wear & tear!  The neck is arrow-straight.  The action is exceptional and the sound is FAR better than anything you've heard in this price range.  Read some reviews online about this model.  She can chase most guitars costing twice as much into the sonic bush and beat them to death!  I’ve added a matching chrome strap button to the neck heel.

Before putting her up for sale, I did a complete teardown, polishing, then waxing the body, cleaning then treating the fretboard & bridge overnight in lemon oil and adjusting the neck and tuners.  I also installed a brand new set of Martin Phosphor-Bronze light strings on her.  Her adoption fee is $395.  Check Ebay sales and you’ll know that’s the number, and not an inflated “asking price.”  This price includes a brand new, higher-end gig bag.  A hardshell case can be included for $45 additional.
