529 Toneworks spent YEARS obsessed with the Fuzz Face pedal and all it's history (perhaps a bit too much). From its beginnings to recent versions, We’ve detailed the various components used and collected as many NOS parts as we could find. We’ve also owned a handful of original units...Including a very early original dark gray 1966 unit with NKT 275 germanium transistors (pictured). Given its value, that original unit was sold, but not before we could study it and clone it for ourselves. The result is this pedal here. A refinished & rebuilt and relic’d fuzz face shell with Medium vintage gain cleans up nicely when rolling back on the guitar volume. Everything you expect from a vintage Fuzz Face, but a fraction of the cost.
