Martin 0-18 1925 Anitique Natural

Introduced in 1922, the 2-17 was the first Martin “Spanish Style” guitar braced for steel strings. The popularity of vintage Martin guitars is at an all time high with models made prior to World War going for a premium for players and collectors alike. The Vintage Martin model 2-17 is often glossed over in the storied history of C.F. Martin Co guitars. This mahogany topped guitar was manufactured during the beginning of what is considered the Golden Era of Martin guitar production. In a 1925 Martin catalog, the 2-17 was described as "amateur size" and as being handy for "general knock-about use." The catalog also stated that the model could be shipped with gut strings instead of steel strings at no extra charge. It is evident that Martin did not cut any corners in workmanship or selection of materials with the 2-17 and consequently it could be said that it is a good value in the vintage market. Serial number available upon request. This guitar sounds amazing and I've had the chance to buy many other acoustic guitars but I've never found one that sounds like this one.
