I think the Fabtone gets a bad rep... Its a great pedal, but the stock components and set up just does not give it justice. I decided to solve that problem... Replacing the ice-picky, digital-sounding diodes with warmer, more natural sounding LED's. This mod alone made a world of difference to the tones. Although, I had to go a bit further... 

The knob is a bias, so this allows for the amount of gain to go WAY DOWN. This allows the pedal to go from a light, boosted overdrive to a crazy, high gain distortion! 

And then the switch; its a 2-way switch that goes from mid-scooped to mid-boosted. 

 **UPDATE** I have found replacement jacks that are much superior to the plastic ones that often fail on these pedals. The price has been made to reflect all of the mods, including the new jacks.
