CONDITION DESCRIPTION
Excellent Condition
Korean made, which is near the top-end of Asian made instruments. A couple of minor dings have been cosmetically concealed with like colored paint adding to its personality; looks and plays amazing & comes with an 18 month warranty (see Sample Warranty in photos)! Plays better than out-of-the-box from the factory due to the acclaimed “Guitar Chief” set-up, which is included free in this package. Light to the touch. Frets have been leveled, polished & dressed. New D'Addario Light Gauge strings installed. Every component of this sweet axe has been meticulously reworked and detailed. “Lovingly restored”.
BONUS: Normally, single coil pickups can be "noisy". These single-coil pickups are clean, quiet and punchy! The pickup and control cavities are all surrounded by grounded electrically conductive shielding paint and metal foil to substantially reduce or eliminate RF buzz and interference. So these upgraded pickups sound amazing – a Guitar Chief exclusive!
AND. . . this is a one-of-a-kind guitar with a custom "blackened" rosewood fretboard. The previous black paint that hid this beautiful wood grain has been carefully removed, revealing the rosewood beneath it. You won’t find another Premier Solid Body that looks like this.

PREMIER
These instruments are currently produced in Korea, since the early 1990s. Instruments previously produced in New York from the 1930s-mid-1970s. Later models were manufactured in Japan. Previously distributed in the U.S. market during the 1990s by Entertainment Music Marketing Corporation (EMMC) in Deer Park, NY.
Premier was the brand name of the Peter Sorkin Music Company. Premier-branded solid body guitars were built at the Multivox company of New York, and distribution of those and the later Japanese built Premiers was handled by the Sorkin company of New York City, New York. Other guitars built and distributed (possibly as rebrands) were Royce, Strad-o-lin, Belltone, and Marvel.
Premier solid body guitars featured a double offset cutaway body, bolt-on necks, a bound rosewood fingerboard; later models featured six-on-a-side headstocks, and single coil pickups.
Current Premier models are built in Korea, and feature a slimmed, sleek strat-style guitar body. New list prices range around $200-$300.
Expert Restoration Inspection and Setup
All used and vintage fretted & stringed musical instruments sold by Guitar Chief are inspected and professionally setup for maximum playability.
Our Acclaimed Guitar Chief Inspection and Setup includes:
Playability
We check the truss rod for proper function, the nut slots for proper height, the saddle for proper string height, and generally insure that each instrument will play as well as possible over the entire length of the fingerboard.
Structural Integrity
We perform an overall inspection of the instrument, assuring that all joints (braces, bridge, neck, binding, pickguard, etc.) are solid, tight, and secure.
Neck Angle
We check and adjust the neck to be sure that it is not twisted or excessively bowed and that the neck angle is sufficient to allow for proper string height and saddle height.
Fret Integrity
We inspect the frets to insure that they are seated properly, dressed evenly, with the proper polish and crown. Adjustments or repairs are completed when needed.
Hardware and Electronics
All tuners, bridges, pickups, switches, and other hardware are checked for proper function. We insure that all volume and tone controls and pickup selectors, etc., operate properly. Minor adjustments, repairs or replacement are completed when needed.
Cosmetics
In General:
The finish on instruments is checked for flaws, scratches, or other defects. Buffing, cleaning and restoration are performed as required. For less costly instruments, cosmetic issues are determined by each specific company's production standards, and minor flaws may still be present.
Used & Vintage Instruments:
Of course, vintage and used instruments typically have some cosmetic flaws from past usage. We take great care to describe the condition of the vintage & used instruments we sell.
