It's an absolute delight to have one of Michi Matsuda's guitars in my shop. I've had a couple in the past, and they are quite an experience. As this guitar's owner said to me, Michi is really an artist who just happens to build guitars. Since he apprenticed with Ervin Somogyi, his guitars will find a lot in common with makes like Bashkin, Kraut, Kostal, etc - highly responsive modern finger style instruments. The notes just leap out of this one. Michi tells me it would cost $20K to recreate this guitar today! I could indulge in a lot of hyperbole about this guitar, but I'll shut up and just let Michi's art speak for itself. Comes with original hardshell case.

Higuerilla back/sides (also known as Sasha rosewood)
Italian spruce top
M1 body (slightly larger than OM)
Ebony bridge/fretboard
Gotoh 510 tuners
Custom rosette and headplate
Mahogany neck
1 7/8" nut, 2 1/4" spacing, 25 1/4" scale

Cosmetically, this guitar is in very good condition, with only minor signs of handling.
