About This Listing

*Ol' sleepy joe has changed the tax laws and it takes effect jan 1st which will effectively destroy everyones business on this site. I am getting out of selling guitars so make me an offer i need my quiver gone by the end of the year. My unfortunate loss, is your very fortunate gain. *

This is an incredibly interesting wartime Regal Parlor acoustic. I cannot determine the exact year it was made but judging from the blue headstock decal it is 1943-45. It has a rosewood fretboard (which is very unusual for these), a wide neck, brass frets and a natural top with sunburst back. From what I can determine it has been refinished in the 1960's. I believe just the top was refinished and it has beautiful checking. It appears to have a solid spruce top and birch back..? not sure but I know the top is spruce. the bridge has been replaced when it was refinished and it is a Martin style belly bridge(wonder what that bridge came off from!). The tuners have been changed. The bracing has been altered and it gives the guitar a very unique sound. Almost a half ladder brace/ half x brace. Its very unusual and in my opinion lends greatly to the sound of the guitar. It has had the back off recently and from what I can tell has had a " kung fu" or "slipped back" neck reset, so the action is great up to the 12th fret. The nut and saddle have been replaced so overall this guitar is ready to have some more miles put on it. Its an incredibly fun guitar to play and I honestly cant put it down!
lighter bottom end with a wonderfully shimmering top end.
A very cool guitar where else can you find a playable vintage for so cheap? no where. Also remember that a neck reset runs $350 -450 these days.

I ship insured with signature on delivery.

Please don't hesitate to ask questions!

I have a video on youtube going into more detail with sound demo of the guitar.
