Joe Pollard, "Inventor Of Electronic Drums" Original Syndrums "Quad" and Custom Syndrums Jacket. AUTHENTICATED

Joe Pollard was a well respected Hollywood session drummer in the 1960s and 1970s and part of the group of young A-list session players in Los Angeles known as the Wrecking Crew. He eventually landed touring gigs with The Grassroots, Wilson Pickett and many others. While his musical accomplishments were well known he will be best remembered as the inventor of the first commercially available electronic drums known as "Syndrums". In the late 1970s Pollard's Syndrums introduced the world to electronic drums and practically defined the sound of popular music of the era. Syndrums made a virtually endless number of sounds but will always be best known for their pitch bending "disco toms".

Consider this the "holy grail" of vintage electronic drums. This is the personal set belonging to the man who created electronic drums! Acquired directly from Pollard's wife. This was Pollard's personal Syndrum Quad used on countess recording sessions. They are still completely functional. I've plugged them in and tried all the sounds. Everything appears to be working great. The set is in great condition. Some of the knobs are missing but all the sliders work fine.

Also included is Pollard's personal satin "Elvis style" white tour jacket. The Syndrums logo is embroidered on the back and Joe's name is embroidered on the right lapel. It is in perfect condition. Size large.

Everything in the photos is included. 4 Syndrums pads, controller, foot pedal, power cord, wire harness and case. Also included is a COA from Pollard's wife.
