You are looking at
a classic "Western Special" Harmony Sovereign, and it plays
and sounds just great! Featuring a solid spruce top, mahogany sides
and back, and rosewood bridge and fingerboard, this is truly a
quality instrument. A very well rounded example of a classic flat-top
grand concert size acoustic, the tone of this guitar is bright and
chimey with a warm underlying resonance, and sure to please! Nut is 1
3/4" wide, 25" scale length, about 10" fingerboard
radius.
Wear is minimal and should be clearly visible in
photos, some obvious scratches on the top near the bridge, bass side,
and what appears to be some smudged adhesive on the headstock near
the truss rod cover, which is an un-original replacement. Sparse
lacquer checking on the sides, a tiny ding here and there, otherwise,
this instrument is looking pretty clean. Comes with an un-original
thin plastic "hard shell" case with foam inserts that fits the guitar quite nicely. All in
all, this is a really exceptional sounding guitar for the value that
would be sure to satisfy anyone looking for a fine vintage American
made flat top at a modest price! Feel free to contact me with any questions.
