About This Listing

Flight DUC 523 CEQ MAH/MAH is a concert-sized ukulele. It has a solid mahogany top, paired w/mahogany back and sides, giving it a very warm and resonating sound. Flight gave the rosette an intricate design featuring a surfer riding the waves, echoing the history of the ukulele and its Hawaiian origins.

Mahogany is a hardwood which has been used to make quality musical instruments for centuries. Its color can vary a fair amount, from a pale pinkish brown to a darker reddish brown, and it tends to darken w/age.

The neck and fingerboard of the DUC523 are made from African okoume and walnut. It's a great combination that guarantees a stable intonation across the fretboard, is gentle to your hands, and looks great as well.

The nut may be a small component, but one that determines the pitch of the sound. The nut and saddle of the DUC523 are made from bone (not from plastic). Just one of the details that make this ukulele truly special.

The preamplifier/EQ is a device that lets you connect a ukulele to an amplifier. The preamp, not usually installed on sopranos, features a tuner, saving you the headache of remembering where you left your tuner the night before! Most importantly though, this small device allows you the freedom to plug in wherever and whenever you like, giving your uke the chance to shine on stage!

Headstock design is an integral part of our identity. All Flight ukuleles feature a carefully-designed headstock fitted w/geared tuners that will always stay in tune.

Light and stylish, yet offering excellent protection for your ukulele, Flight gigbags have already become legendary and w/one hanging off your shoulder you will definitely make heads turn.
