British Drum Company Archer 14x6" snare drum

The British Drum Co. Archer 14” x 6” is an amazing beauty. The looks are phenominal but the sound is even better!
The Archer 14” x 6” 10-ply shell is made of English Yew and has 30’ bearing edges. Yew wood is flexible and durable what makes the sound warm and fat. The 30’ bearing edges and 5mm single flang hoops add more warmth and ring to it. It sounds a little bit like a vintage drum but way better. The drum sounds more lively. They edit some vintage mini claws to fit the vintage look.
British Drum Co made a beautifull allround drum that sounds great with every tuning. You can tune the drum really low and the drum still sounds fatt and beefy without losing body. You can also tune the drum high and you have a gorgeous cut with toon within a second.
The shell is made in Britain and is cold-pressed. This means that they don’t use any heat during the shellbuildingprocess. Without using heat the process takes much longer (time is money) but it is worth it! (When you use heat the sonic qualities are altered). The pure toon of the drum is amazing.
British Drum Co has a really good eye for detail. Every little detail of the drum has its own unique character as you can so on the pictures.
To make a long story short. This drum is expensive but worth every penny. Beautifull kraftmanship! If we had to chose 1 snare to play all gigs, studio and live, we would chose this one!
