This is one beautiful guitar, not only in looks, but tonally and playability in excellent condition considering its age. Has K&K pickup under solid, tight straight grain spruce top with X bracing, strap button, monogram on headstock with JP initials, and split saddle for perfect intonation. Ebony fingerboard and frets in perfect condition. This guitar was called the "Super Abalone" for good reason. There is abalone on every corner and down the three piece Jacaranda (Brazilian?) laminated back and sides. Truly a stunning guitar. The action and playability is perfect. About an 1/8th" on the low E and a little more than a 1/16th at the 12 fret on the high E. Tonally this guitar surprises. I'm a fingerstyle player and this guitar would explode with a flatpick. According to a Yairi aficionado, this guitar dates to 1974, heel block number 49374. Comes with hardshell case and sticker on front! Please ask any questions. Video recorded with iPhone.
