About This Listing
This is a recently refinished Epiphone archtop body from the 1940s with a five piece neck that was built for a 1930s Triumph, one of their high-end models of the period.
The body is expertly carved and tap tuned. The neck is narrow with a thick v-shaped contour as one would expect from the period.
The tuners have been upgraded to Waverly machine heads and were professionally installed. The pickguard was custom made for the instrument. It comes with a TKL case.
To my ear, the guitar sounds like a well-aged acoustic archtop, woody with a nice tenor voice. I think of it as an L-5 for a beer price.
On this forum, I do not trade instruments or equipment.
