According to the catalog: "Rockoon is the high performance guitar created by the skilled and uncompromising craftsmanship of Kawai". Essentially these are the high end range from Kawai (in collaboration with Schaller) that were made in Japan in the 80's and 90's.
This is the 1989 model KRB-90, a high end bass aimed at competing with the neckthrough Yamaha and Aria Pro II models. Sen body with a five-ply Maple/Mahogany neck and a Phenol fretboard, it weighs just under 4kg's. 24 frets with a 34" scale length and 40mm nut width.
Loaded with Schaller hardware and electronics (including PJ-X pickups, 3-D4 bridge and M4 tuners) give it all the professional quality you could need. Four knobs control volume, pickup balance, treble and bass.
Great overall condition with only minor signs of use, received a setup and restring prior to listing. Neck is straight and smooth and the truss is working well, frets were polished and are shiny with plenty of life left.
