This is a great example of an all original 1962 Harmony Stratotone - Model H-45, complete with it's original brown soft-shell case. It has the hollow "tone chamber" construction, 'ebonized' maple fretboard and a steel reinforced neck that is very straight.
It has one awesome sounding DeArmond pickup with a single tone and volume control and a slide-switch that according to the original catalogue... "permits quick change from bass emphasis used for rhythm, to treble emphasis used for take-off or solo playing".
There is some wear around the headstock and a few marks on the back of the body, however it's in amazing shape for a guitar this old.
This is a great playing collectable guitar that if looked after will only appreciate in value. Having said that this guitar should most definitely be played and not become a closet dweller.
If you are in Melbourne and want to come and plug it in, I am open by appointment so just drop us a line before coming in.
