Made in Japan as part of the Prestige Series designed by Hoshino Gakki, this unit (Ser No. F0700747) purchased brand new in 2007, and featured in countless publicity photographs, a music video and live performances for the Los Angeles melodic rock band Starfire.  This instrument was chosen for live due to the incredible tuning stability offered by the Gotoh tuning machines  and Gibraltar fixed bridge (a rare feature among Ibanez shred axes).

This RGA121's high-mass bridge, together with its warm, solid mahogany body offer terrific sustain.  The 16.6 DC Resistance "LiveWire" bridge humbucker (wax-potted for unwanted feedback abatement) is voiced with a high and medium mid frequency EQ boost to balance out the mellow tone, allowing leads to sing brilliantly through the mix, and providing rhythm sections with a tight and crunchy timbre in the mix.  Technicalities aside, it sounds absolutely amazing.

Intonation and setup professionally performed by Eric's Guitar Shop in Van Nuys, California.

After ten years of reliable, high-performance service, the instrument was retired in 2017 when it was replaced by two new stage guitars, and has been kept in pristine condition ever since.  With operations relocating out of Los Angeles soon, it is now time for this beautiful guitar to find a new home.

Includes the Ibanez Prestige-series hard-shell guitar case.  Because it was branded for use on stage for the band "Starfire," it is being included at no extra charge.

The Ibanez RGA121 has been discontinued for nearly 12 years (including its classic pickups), this is an exceedingly rare instrument, especially in this spectacular, stage-ready color.  Also, in this condition, without any upgrades or the case, this guitar is price below the going rate elsewhere.  (Price excludes the cost of packing/shipping.)

In summary, if you are in the market for a great sounding, gorgeous, Japanese-built, high performance electric guitar for live work, you are invited to consider purchasing this remarkable instrument today.
