This is what I think is a late 60’s sunn 2000s. I’ve had it for about 20 years and the past few it has been collecting dust so it’s time for it to find a new loving owner.
I’ve had it grounded and replaced the entire power cable (which is attached to the amp) with pretty decent length. The tubes in it are the same tubes from when I got it and I believe they are 4 NOS 6550 svetlanas. I had the amp services a few years ago and re-biased and haven’t played it much since then.
The amp does have a faint hum that you will hear but it is much quieter than the instrument level. This is really going to be the nature of this amp. It’s 160w and it’s non master volume. It gets loud quick and if you want break up you better bring your ear plugs. This is a devastatingly loud amp and it sounds so warm and full and lush. Playing a Russian big muff through this amp is transcending.
It has an 8ohm output and a 16ohm output as pictured.
The jewel light has never worked and I’ve never replaced it, cheap part though.
