A true TEAC classic, known for its sublime build quality, ease of use and performance that will give a vinyl record a run for its money. This is the 7½ / 3¾ IPS or 9.5 / 19cm/s 4-track variant that allows recording of both sides of the tape.
Included with the recorder is a pair of original TEAC NAB hub adapters.
The downsides? In favour of having a sleek front plate without screws, access to some components can be quite difficult. Fortunately, we’ve already gone over this machine so you don’t have to.
Serial number 21424.
- The recorder is in excellent condition, very few cosmetic imperfections.
- The power socket has been changed for a more common plug size. The original TEAC plugs are no longer in production and are more expensive while offering no additional benefit.
- The tape heads have some wear, but no head-gap is exposed and performance is still up to par.
- The depicted tape reels are not included, but we have a number of different metal reels available on request.
- Please refer to the about page for details on our terms of service and postage/returns terms.
- This unit is universal; it can be run at 50/60hz and has a voltage dial on the back with a range of 100 - 240v. Change of fuse may be required. Running the device in the wrong voltage or frequency voids right to return. Refer to the service manual on Hifiengine.com for setting to correct local power standards.
