Wow! I hate to let this beauty go, but I have to downgrade my mandolin. It is simply the best sounding mandolin I have every owned, but I have decided to sell it to free up some cash for other priorities. Tough times out there. Would love it to go to a good home. There are a few small imperfections/dings which isn't unusual with a varnish finish. If you have never owned a varnish instrument it is amazing. Serial Number is 199-10 (which means it was built in 2010 I am told) and has opened up quite nicely. Signature Ellis tone and quality. Not many are made so they don't last too long when they come up on the used market. Standard factory speed neck, ebony pick guard and tweed case. Everything is in excellent shape with some small imperfections/dings. Difficult to image someone not loving it just on looks, but once you start to play it you are spoiled forever. My loss is your gain. Feel free to reach out to me and I will do my best to answer any questions. Good luck. I generally respond quickly. Appointments: -Varnish finish -Factory speed neck -Pick guard -One piece back -Adirondack Spruce top -Engraved, James Tailpiece
