About This Listing

First of all let me say that this is not a cheap plywood bass it is a G. B. Rogeri style make.

Bass is 3/4 size and slightly larger than average, better for taller people. It has an adjustable bridge and the strings can get very close to the fingerboard for a very easy/comfortable playing, while still keeping a great tone without any buzzing.

It has wider upper bouts and great deep, smooth, and growling jazz sound with a solid bottom end. Booming, lyrical, punchy, and sweet Classical bowed tone. Could be used for Folk/Blues as well, and has a deeper bottom end for a modern sound, compared to the light upper-midrange tone of plywood Kay's and Rockabilly-style uprights. Great near-pro quality bass for any student/hobbyist, or gigging professional.

 Bass comes with:

Tuft brand soft case, ~$150

Ingles brand bass stand, $50

The Realist Copperhead bass pickup $250

Evah Pirazzi Strings

Various other supplies and accessories

Bass Wheel

Endpin anchor

Bridge mute

Extra pair of strings: Belcanto Solo Strings, (tuned higher) (could sell separately)

I have 2 nice bows and bow cases, a German and French style and 1 of your choice comes with the Bass. We paid $850 for the French bow and forgot what we paid for the German one though it wasn’t cheap either.

Since the listing doesn't seem to want me leave an link for you let's try another way you should be able to get all the info you need. In your search engine type in String Emporium and follow to their site. Once inside the site on the left choose "Giovani Battista Rogeri Basses". After that you should be able to see all the info you need.

I am listing this for my son who is finishing his Masters degree in Music Production. He studied with Barry Olson the lead bass player for the Phoenix Symphony for many years among others. He used this bass throughout high school and was selected one of the 12 best classical bass players in the United States with this bass. He has played with Youth Symphony’s in Arizona and was always revered for his talent which is also a reflection of the quality of this bass. He hates to sell it though needs more money for school and needs to finish his second album.
