About This Listing
You're looking at a really rare Fender '69 Telecaster Thinline re-issue in a rarely seen Daphne Blue finish. They only made the "car color" models like this for one year in 2002. Looks to be all original except the tuners have been upgraded to sealed Grovers and the bridge pickup upraded to a Seymour Duncan. The semi-hollow with F-hole makes for a really light guitar that feels great in the hands. Only 6 pounds, 14 ounces. As you'll see in online forums people rave about the necks on these Mexican made 69 thinlines saying they are the best feeling Telecaster necks you can find. They are nice and chunky (7.25" radius), unlike the thin necks on the Japanese versions. They're also known to have better electronics parts than the MIJ versions. Also, the pickups on these sound amazing. Lot of Tele tones but powerful. Not sure what kind of SD pickup, but it rocks! The buyer of this guitar will be a happy camper. Get it before its gone cause they don't come around often. Very clean with only a few small dings shown in pics below. Comes with original Fender molded hard case. Guitar is set up nice with good strings, ready to play. Thanks for looking!
Web Description
One of Fender's most innovative Teles, the 69 Thinline combined Fender twang with the light weight and big tone of a semi hollow body. A great combo that has been popular among tone savvy players ever since. Here's one in an ultra hard to find limited edition color! Nice attention to detail and vintage feel on these. The semi hollow body is made of mahogany. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 7.25 inch radius maple fingerboard with 21 frets. Dual single coils deliver trademark Tele tone. Three saddle string through bridge for good sustain. A truly great guitar that is light in weight and heavy in tone.
