Overview

The Zildjian 22" K Constantinople Medium Thin Ride High brings together the best of old-world sensibility with modern techniques by incorporating features like unique, over-hammered patterns on the bow to conjure Turkish-style cymbals, a smaller, more focused bell with an un-lathed bottom, and a higher pitch than typical Constantinople cymbals. Based on the vintage Ks that began to resurface in the '50s and '60s on jazz drummer's kits, this ride will be the smoky crown jewel on even the most lavish kit.

More Information

Developed as the company's flagship series, K Constantinople cymbals are crafted to emulate the handmade cymbals Zildjian produced in the early 20th Century while still in Turkey. Designed to develop a more complex character as they age, each cymbal is hand-hammered, producing unique attributes even between cymbals of the same size and model.

The Medium Thin High Ride is designed with closer lathing and a tight hammering pattern to produce a brighter tonal character.

 Years of production: 1998-present

Composition: Zildjian Secret Alloy (80% copper, 20% tin, traces of silver)

Notable players: Ringo Starr, Billy Cobham, Glenn Kotche
