About This Listing

Super sweet, handmade, USA 59 relic, built by the late, and highly respected builder, Jim Nunis. This was one of his earlier builds. It had been bought by the former owner of PedalGeek. Dan at PedalGeek was truly one of the music gear web selling pioneers in the early oughts.. Dan and Jim began to do more business after Dan bought this first Nunis in 2004 and PedalGeek eventually became an important dealer for Nunis.

The guitar weighs in at 8.2 pounds, has incredible feel, and it is no wonder that Dan was so impressed with Jim's builds. Soak in the pics. This guitar is a real looker. This is the actual guitar you will happily unpack. As is obvious in the pics, Jim Nunis built single cut guitars in a Les Paul style, but with his own body shape, headstock shape, inlay shape, etc.

Love the top on this. It is a 2-piece carved bound flame maple top in 59-style amberburst, 1-piece mahogany back faded red, relic’d top, back, and headstock overlay, 3-piece bound maple neck w/fret-edge binding and w/highly flamed center piece, satin finish '59 neck, rosewood fretboard that plays with a true ease of feel. The frets are near 100% even after 16 years. flame maple headstock overlay, w/parallelogram mop inlays, and side-dots, Original Seymour Duncan pups.Sperzel locking tuners.

Back in 2004 his OHSC was the SKB included here. In later years before his untimely passing his cases were Nunis branded.

I've been lucky enough to carve out a living in the music products industry for my entire adult life and I had the privilege of owning Monster Music in Levittown for 14 years before selling the shop last year. Many of my former customers are still with me here online now as Brian's House of Music & Fun! Thanks for keeping the music alive!
