Original vintage Japanese non-export model u3 upright grand piano in excellent playing condition. This piano has lived in my private, professional recording studio for the last ten years, and has been recorded on dozens of records, and has always been lovingly cared for in a climate controlled, professional environment. I’m only parting with it in order to make room for a full size concert grand.

These earliest u3’s are true works of art, quality craftsmanship, and the apogee of Japanese design. Action and tone are excellent, soundboard is in excellent condition, and the wood has aged delightfully over the years. I think it’s safe to say that this piano is peaking. Drink through 2030.

Cosmetically, she’s in very vintage condition and has weathered well the slings and arrows over these long years, with plenty of light exterior finish wear, nicks, and scrapes of every description, all skin deep, all included at no extra charge. Shipping is marked at zero, to accommodate buyers from all locations, domestic and international. The buyer is solely responsible for shipping, though I’m happy to help with arrangements on my end. I’ve shipped pianos and organs all over the globe.
