This is a beautiful and rare (see below) Chambered P-Classic IV. It has a bookmatched flame maple top on a chambered 2-piece alder body w/ binding. 2-tone sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer, Moollon VP-60 split coil pickups (same as found on the P-Classic IV)

-there is some wear around the lower bout

-The 3-way switch controls the Esquire circuit, the third selection fully bypasses the tone pot (see below)

-20 frets, 34" scale, 19mm string spacing, pre-CBS-spec custom alloy Moollon hardware, makassar ebony fretboard on maple neck, 7.25” fretboard radius

*The nut is a little slimmer than a Classic P IV, coming in at 4cm (1.58 inches). The neck feels like a blend between a P and J neck. Faster and slimmer than a typical P, but a little more robust than a typical J.

**The squire circuit? I love the tonal palette it offers me on a Moollon. Search for an article from Premier Guitar clarifying how it the Esquire circuit/switch works. Also search YouTube and note how Michael League uses the switch while first testing the Chambered P-Classic IV at Winter NAMM 2017.

From Andi Roselund @ Moollon:

(This bass was) sold to a customer in Europe a few years ago. 100% standard 2TS Chambered P-Classic IV. The bass has a slightly more figured top than most made in the past, and is very much a P-Classic IV with the unique trim (namely the body construction and Esquire circuit).

...Normally priced new at $2899, and we feel that the wear and bumps as seen are fairly normal, due to the sharper angles of the body simply getting in the way.

It's one of five standard Chambered P-IVs that made it outside our borders, and a reasonable deal, methinks (personally). YJ would like to add that although it's still a bit pricey for a used piece, given the rarity of the model and the extreme demand for Moollon basses in general (not to mention present 12+ month build time), it might be nonetheless worth considering for such reasons, especially if you can try it out for yourself and have the option of making a swift purchase.
