Lady Techno’s Description
This is a very unique module. It consists of a wide range 4 step sequencer with step linked envelopes. Very deep and powerful. Each step has Attack and Release controls which simultaneously work like slew on the main output and as parameters for that step’s envelope out. The level setting for each step does not affect the envelope outs. This module can be the center of a patch or it can be the special sauce on top.
The main output range is +\-10v so it works nicely as a non-stepped tempo synced CV source for modulating anything. The reset input makes it easy to sync. ARSeq needs 2 triggers for reach full step so it pairs nicely with VC clock multipliers/dividers or any rhythmic sequencer.
The envelope outs are synced with the motion of the main output so using them in the same patch will give you that s y n e r g y. Use them for 4 different sounds. Sum or mix them for 4 steps of envelope sequencing.
Maker’s Description
The ARSEq ( =
Attack
Release
SEquencer) is, as the name implies, a hybrid sequencer and AR envelope generator. It contains a counter circuit with reset, 4 envelope generators and a mixer/inverter stage to get the sequenced output. The envelopes can be inverted if desired to give a greater voltage and complexity range of the output sequence. The individual 4 envelopes are available on the panel as well.
The main difference with this circuit and a regular EG is each envelope requires 2 clock pulses, one to start the attack and the next to start the release stage.
