Gretsch 1959 Anniversary, w/ Original Bigsby, Very Trick, The One To Buy Green

 Do not be confused, this is the real deal, a genuine 1959 production year Anniversary model. Gretsch used the "1959 Anniversary Model" name on this model for many years but this is a drop dead original1959 year example in really great condition and fit with the original optional Bigsby. I upgraded just the string bar with a TremTrue bar but the original is included of course. I am trimming down from 200+ guitars and sadly some great guitars just have to go. I only own rock stars. I seriously actually bought this from Chet Atkins' nephew for what that is worth. I had my luthier who is also Dickie Betts' luthier reset and level the frets and make some very tasteful mods making it probably the best playing and sounding Anniversary on earth. I suppose most people looking at this guitar know what the "mud switch" is. This allows you to switch from a useless tone to a slightly less than useless tone. I had through experimentation the switch replaced with a CTS tone pot and new cap of a perfect value.  The new volume pot which lets you get both a bright and mellow tone and everything in between. The original jacks were crap as well and this was replaced. An original correct Gretsch knob was used on the tone pot. We only used the original holes and all the original parts including the original wiring come with the guitar. I also took a brand new tweed  hard shell case and had it coated very evenly with Zinzer amber lacquer for a nice and tasteful old school look. This cost me $350 alone. The guitar never had the pick guard as long as I owned it and the body is in really amazing condition for the age. A few very minor flaws in the binding  and a few chunks have fallen off but it is very stable and has not gotten any worse in all the years I have had it, and one or two super minor nicks in the body too small to easily show. I do have the original case as well but the handle has been replaced. It is include at extra shipping. I rarely play this guitar out but when I do all my friends just drool with envy. I can't believe I am selling it but I just need the space, things just sort of got out of hand! I will ship by FedEx and fully insure. Don't let this one get away.
