This is an amazing big fat sounding vintage analog 10x2 summing mixer! This is perfect someone looking to add depth and weight to their in-the-box mixes, or add some germanium transistor color to cheaper mic pres while recording. You can get a variety of tones using the big faders and the inductor EQs. I'm sad to see this go, and only selling it to help fund another piece of recording gear. Let me know if you have any questions!
I bought it directly from the person that racked it, here's what he said about it:
Selling a custom 10 channel summing mixer built with a pair of Lomo КV-1 (КВ-1) output modules from a Lomo mixing console made in the USSR in 1977. Each module sums and amplifies signals from the 5 inputs (10 in total), has a high and low inductor equalizer and output level control via a fader. They also has germanium transistors throughout and add nice color to tracks passed through it. It's powered by an internal 24vdc power supply currently setup for 120vac input.
Please check out the comparison YouTube video showing summing between the Lomo module, a Neve 8816 and within the DAW.
Inputs 1-8 are on a DB25 connection, 9 & 10 on XLR and outputs on XLR. Odd number inputs go to one module and even inputs go to the other. This is a great tool for summing DAW mixes or adding color to preamps going into your DAW.
