About This Listing

A nice teardrop shaped Kay mandolin perfect for the beginner or as a second mandolin suitable for backpacking, trekking, or just sitting around. The body is bound on either edge, and is made from mahogany and spruce; pickguard and rosewood bridge present. The mahogany neck has a rosewood fingerboard w/ brass frets, 1-1/8" nut width; forward relief is present, and a gap in the heel is present though instrument plays (albeit buzzy) all the way up the neck; equipped with original tuners (buttons beginning to crumble).
