About This Listing

The Ibanez high-performance RG420HPFM solid-body electric guitar impresses with its high octane number, smooth playability and an undeniably cool appearance. The Ibanez RG hardly needs an introduction - legendary guitarists from Paul Gilbert and Steve Vai to Gary Holt and Reb Beach have shown their effect at some point with an RG. This iteration of the definitive rock guitar features a fast-playing, roasted Wizard III maple neck, an aggressively-tuned pair of DiMarzio humbucking pickups, and a double-locking tremolo that offers tremendous expressive range. When you need a guitar that can withstand your most hectic fretwork, the Ibanez RG420HPFM can do great results.

DiMarzio Air Norton and Tone Zone humbuckers

The Ibanez high-performance RG420HPFM is prepared with a pair of DiMarzio humbuckers for an epic sound. In the neck slit, the Air Norton is deep and warm, but not muddy. The magnetic structure reduces the pulling of the strings, which improves the sustain, and ensures an easily controllable and expressive touch response. It fits perfectly with the Tone Zone humbucker in the bridge position. The DiMarzio Tone Zone is a brilliant pickup with a high output power, but offers an enormous dynamic range so that you can get even more tones out of your guitar. Pick softer and the notes are cleaner and quieter, then grind a little harder and you'll get a ton of fat power.

Iconic wizard neck

For many players, the Wizard neck profile was what makes an Ibanez an Ibanez. And the third generation of the Wizard III can be found on the Ibanez high-performance RG420HPFM solid-body electric guitar. The incredibly thin contour is popular with fast-paced, technical players because it allows unrestricted movement on the fingerboard. Even if your runs start in the open position and end in the highest frets, this neck won't get in the way and the contoured neckline improves access to higher frets. The roasted maple construction ensures a stable neck while offering more sustain and tonal attack.
