Solid Flamed Maple Top

Usually, acoustic guitars in this price range feature a laminated top to cut costs, which is not the case with the Merida extrema OMCE. With a solid flamed Maple top, you get a richness of tone and harmonic complexity to give you a bright sound, great projection and excellent note definition. Whether you're fingerpicking gently or strumming hard, the solid maple top will ensure your tone remains resonant. To complement the stunning flamed Maple top you get a laminated Mahogany back and sides that work with the Maple to enhance sustain and add warmth. The body shape of the OMCE is slightly smaller than it's GACE cousin, making it perfect for younger players or those of smaller stature.

Slim 'C' Shape

The Merida extrema OMCE features a Mahogany neck construction, shaped to a Slim 'C' profile, hefty enough to give you a good grasp on chords but slim enough to suit players with smaller hands. The man-made Ebony fretboard wood is environmentally friendly whilst retaining all the positive tonal qualities of traditional Ebony, feeling smooth underhand and allowing legato to flow freely and slides to move effortlessly. 20 frets give you plenty of space to experiment, with the single cutaway giving fantastic upper fret access.
