Violin bass in very good original condition.
Note; The pick guard have been a little modified near bridge pickup. (pic 4)
From some characteristic, i suggest that one was made between 68 and 71 :
Laquered gold decal logo start in 68
single closed (van Gent), plastic wings tuning machine was between 67 and 73
513 (blade) with engraved Hofner logo on pickup was between 67 and 72
'teacup' cream knob with concave brass inlay was from 60 to 71
cream plastic button on neck heel start in 68
pearl cream pick guard was from 61 to 71
Well the bass is in very nice cosmetic condition with some little ding here and there.
The truss rod look to be screw at it's limit... The neck show a little bow, not dramatic and the action with flat wound string still truly easy and confortable.
Come with a moulded hard shell case
