This Zenith radio belonged to my grandfather, and he spent many an afternoon listening to the ball games in his easy chair.
Features: bakelite AM/FM Radio, working on both bands, has the Zenith trademark circular design with the tone control centered in front of the speaker. It is a beautiful example of Zenith's early “miniature” tube radios.
The cabinet has 68 years of original patina, has all of its original plastic knobs, the original double loop antenna, back plane, all 7 tubes are original and have plenty of life left in them.
There is a low pitched, low volume hum once it warms up, not bad and, if you want optimum performance, will need to be serviced. I left the moving parts alone, so the tuning and volume knobs are a little scratchy
