Up for purchase is a Gibson Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 electric guitar that was used to record and tour with Martin Johnson of Boys Like Girls/The Night Game.
This is a piece of music history as it was 1 of 3 of the first Gibson Custom Shop guitars that were not made for Tom Delonge himself. Since Martin wanted to use a custom version of the TD ES-333, Gibson made Martin seek approval from Tom in order to have this guitar created.
Martin chose a White base with Gold stripes and gold hardware. The headstock has custom work and is labelled as "The Gibson". The 12th fret also has custom inlay work done. After speaking with Adam Gable, we confirmed that the pickup is a Gibson Dirty Fingers that has a cover on it.
This electric guitar comes with a Gibson Custom Shop Case road-worn case that was used (and beat up badly) on tour along with a note/Certificate of Authenticity typed and signed by Martin Johnson. I can also include some of his BLG picks. Please see all pictures.
This is not a new guitar and has been toured with, played on and moved around quite a bit. There are random dents/dings in the finish and they have been left as is. The neck was reinforced on tour by Martin's guitar tech, and I also had another luthier look at it to make sure that it was 100%. I was told that is it much stronger than before. It plays great and screams through any amp!
The note reads," a one of a kind, this guitar was one of three es-333's i played from 2008-2012 touring and in the studio with Boys Like Girls. The most dramatic in aesthetics, it was my favorite of the 3 to play live, especially during the "Love Drunk" record cycle. The custom work took around 6 months to complete and was a pet project of long time guitar tech Adam Gable, who worked hand in hand with the Gibson Custom Shop to combine pieces from a 1920's Banjo and the custom painted piece. This guitar is featured on various recordings in the Boys Like Girls discography and also was used in the studio on outside projects from 2011-2014... " See pictures for full note.
Currently only shipping to the Continental US. Any other requests to ship out of the Continental US will be considered if the buyer pays the shipping in full.
