Takamine F-360s made in Japan in 1980. This guitar was made in the golden era of the Japanese lawsuit guitars and is a replica of a Martin D-28. This guitar features a solid spruce top, rosewood back & sides, mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard. The guitar has the vintage Martin style headstock logo, a rosewood bridge and 5-ply body binding. I can say with certainty that this guitar is better than most Martin D-28’s especially from this time period that I have came across. This guitar in particular sounds great and plays phenomenally well. The guitar has had a custom bone nut and bridge saddle installed which is the main reason of why it play so well. The Takamine F-360s is well known for being used by Jerry Garcia in the Grateful Dead in the 70s and 80s, if you pickup and play this guitar you will see why this artist chose this guitar over everything else available at the time.
This guitar is in very good condition although it has some minor dings, dents and regular playing wear (see photos). This guitar has been freshly restrung with Martin Medium gauge strings and setup in standard A440 tuning. Comes with a very nice Gator hardshell case that is an aged white color with blue interior that looks very classy and fits the vintage vibe!
