Kramer 1984 Music - Yo Version....While there is a similar model in current production, it does not have the top of the line hardware as this one. Nor does the current model have a Gibson custom designed pick up like this one nor does it come with a Kramer case like mine. As I understand, Music Yo was an online retailer of various guitar brands, including Kramer, back in the early 2000's. Unlike current production, this version was assembled here in the states, with an original floyd rose (stamped "made in Germany"), Schaller tuners, and a Gibson 84T pickup. Action is currently set at 5/64". I did the following mods/upgrades myself:
1. Upgraded the trem block to a 37mm Floyd Rose authentic block.
2. The R2 nut was ground down on the bottom to improve the string action at the nut. I did this (grinded the nut) versus filing the nut shelf as some had suggested in order to preserve the shelf's original appearance.
3. I added my own trem stop (see pic) to convert the OFR to a "dive only" set-up. This makes it much easier to change strings and set up.
4. I reversed the jack wires on the volume pot as they were incorrectly soldered when I received the guitar.
The guitar will ship in the original, mint and unblemished authentic Kramer case which will also include the Schaller strap locks and original trem block. For more information, feel free to visit the vintage Kramer website for a detailed review of the Music Yo 1984 model. I have included a link for convenience.
Lastly, I bought this guitar used but it had very little, if any noticeable play wear on it. Please note that I can tell the neck is shimmed in order for it to align correctly in the neck pocket. I have never had the neck off of this guitar.
As you can see, it is packed very well and is just waiting for an address to ship.
Thanks for looking.
Price includes shipping/insurance in CONUS only. Feel freemessage me if you have any other questions.
