Mutable Instruments Full SMD kit for under $100!!! (NO FRONT PANEL)
I've built dozens of these and they are super powerful modules, especially if you have multiple units for polyphonic voices or complex voltage control.
I did not plan on selling these but I am temporarily out of work and trying to trim some fat. I spent the last couple days putting these kits together. I hope to make a few bucks to float while hopefully introducing some of you to surface mount DIY, which is not all that difficult.
I use a stencil which I ordered using the Eagle files, and squeegee on solder paste, then bake it in a toaster oven. Contact me for these files if you plan on ordering a stencil and I can explain instructions for reflowing if necessary. You will also need to upload the software to the module once it is built, and then you are in business!
Not recommended for your first DIY module project, but it was mine. :)
