This is a highly unusual & perhaps the very final all original 000-28 made w/the very last of the pre-1969 Brazilian Rosewood Martin had in stock just after Martin started to buy all of its future Rosewood from India. Its got a stunning spruce top having only 1 small pickgard crackle repaired nicely. Its gorgeous Brazilian back & sides are a perfect specimen of colorful striped woods. Its got a killer feeling 1 piece Mahogany neck w/a dot inlaid rosewood fingerboard & matching bridge. Its sporting a set of Grover tuners & they hold tune well. She has a perfect replacement black pickgard. This was owned for 50 years by a now close to 90 year old fella from Sarasota. Its in insane original shape & plays delightfully. Brazilian Rosewood was used until they ran out of std.stock & just like w/fingerboards by Martin, Fender & Gibson, some leftover Brazilian was on their shelves & used up accordingly. This is one of the cleanest Martin 000-28’s from the late 60’s we’ve ever acquired, it left the factory by March 1970, it is truly near mint, all original & comes in its original minty matching Black Tolex/Blue lined hard case.
