Rick Kelly Telecaster Bill Frisell 2016 white

Rick Kelly built me a copy of the guitar he built for Bill Frisell to the last detail.

One piece" Bowery" Pine ancient reclaimed body (From Jim Jarmousch' loft)
One piece Padouk neck with truss rod.

Padouk wood  is used for the Bars of Marimbas and has a very musical and dark complex tone.

Jumbo frets makes playing a real joy. Very clean chording and soloing without a slight of a buzz.

11/16" Nut Width and the neck is not one of Kelly's huge ones yet its not a flimsy thin neck at all..
Very reminiscent of a Gibson neck.

Its an incredible guitar that sings and resonates for days.
By far the "Jazziest" Tele I've ever heard. Warm deep and sweet.

If your a Jazz player you might opt for Charlie Christian Pickups and have them installed.
But as is it already sounds close to a hollow body jazz guitar with a bit of Tele twang.

Very unique and rare sounding instrument built by a real master.

If your asking why I'm selling it is because I invested in a 1950's Jazzmaster that came my way unexpectedly, and having 3 more Kelly Teles, the latest arrival has to go as I'm the least attached to it at this point.... There you have it...;)
