Selling my vintage Univox Hi-Flier with fitted case.
This is an earlier Phase II model in sunburst, with P-90 style pickups, and raised Univox headstock logo. As you can tell, this was an early Japanese Mosrite tribute.
This is all original, with exception to the toggle switch which has been replaced, and now works perfectly. All pots are original and function perfectly. The volume knob had a chip which has been fixed with epoxy and painted, and looks quite original as you can see on the photos.
Tuners are all original. Has Flatwound strings on.
There are a few scrapes and dings on the finish. There are two touch ups made with lacquer and prevents further chipping of the paint in the area. There is some chipped lacquer in front of the bridge. The bridge is original, with original bridge cover with foam.
Frets are in great shape with lots of meat on it. Neck is straight, with functional truss rod.
I don't have the original chipboard case, but I have made a custom fitted case that holds this short scale pretty good.
This is a great playing bass, and a vintage collectible.
