There’s Nothing Typical About This Eclectic Tele

There’s nothing typical about the Fender Custom Shop Artisan Thinline Telecaster. Its cocobolo-topped mahogany body not only provides eye-popping good looks, it also yields a terrific blend of resonance, power, and sustain. Its roasted 3A bird’s-eye maple neck and African blackwood fingerboard provide plenty of clarity, bite, and even more sustain. Beyond that, this guitar’s semi-hollow construction opens up its tone and contributes to its lightweight comfort. Experience jangly, smooth, sparkling tones with a distinct twangy bite, courtesy of the Artisan Thinline Telecaster’s hand-wound single-coil pickups, while a hand-filling ’63 C-shaped neck and slick 9.5-radius fingerboard ensure extreme playability. The Artisan Thinline Telecaster includes a hardshell case, strap, and certificate of authenticity.

Blankets your playing with amazing harmonic complexity

The Artisan Thinline Telecaster is built from an eclectic blend of tonewoods. Its resounding mahogany body is capped with an eye-popping cocobolo top, which increases the instrument’s power, sustain, and volume in a manner that rivals Brazilian rosewood. Its gorgeous roasted 3A bird’s-eye maple neck is topped by an African blackwood fingerboard — prized for its clarity, sustain, and sweet-sounding overtones. Beyond that, this Tele’s semi-hollow construction adds unprecedented resonance to your tone. The Artisan Thinline Telecaster will blanket your playing with amazing harmonic complexity — and that’s before you even plug it in!

Hand-wound single-coil pickups dish out classic Tele tones

You're sure to cut through the mix, thanks to the Fender Custom Shop Artisan Thinline Telecaster’s loaded Nocaster pickups. These pups feature a period-correct design and exhibit the tight low end and clear, balanced midrange you'd expect from a vintage '50s Tele. And the bridge pickups twangs like it's nobody's business. Both of these single-coil pickups have been hand-wound to ensure the highest quality possible. The Artisan Thinline Telecaster comes complete with a 3-way switch and Fat '50s Tele wiring.

Vintage-shaped neck provides outstanding feel

The Artisan Thinline Telecaster looks totally vintage, thanks to its NOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish, and it plays like butter. If you savor the feel of a played-in guitar with perfect fretwork and with spot-on intonation, we've got your axe right here! The Artisan Thinline Telecaster sports narrow-tall frets and a 9.5" radius so you can shred and bend up high without fear of fretting out. We’ve found that It's the best of old and new.
