About This Listing

2007 ZON SONUS 4 STRING BASS, ASH, TRANS RED, CUSTOM BARTOLINIS, 24 FRET NECK, BAG

First introduced as the Jazz Bass for the 1990s, the Sonus has evolved into one of Zon's most popular new models. Designed with traditional styling, the Sonus achieves a perfect balance of classic characteristics.

The tonal qualities of the select ash body give the Sonus incredible warmth and personality, with dynamic punch and clarity. Its two-octave, bolt-on neck is tapered and shaped to feel like a vintage Jazz Bass neck. The superior playing response of the neck provides increased sustain and rich harmonics with no dead spots, while offering superior stability. Linear single-coil pickups are wound to reproduce the classic Jazz sound, while custom electronics provide the player with independent pickup volumes, bass, and treble controls.

It plays exactly like a Zon should. This bass has the Zon custom Bartolini pickups. You will want to get it dialed in and set to your personal preference with a luthier. But once set up to your liking, this guitar will pack a punch only a Zon bass can deliver.

This Zon Sonus 4 String Bass Guitar is a used item in VG+ condition. There are no major dings, marks or electrical concerns with this item. You will see some very light minor wear showing from normal use, but nothing abusive. The biggest issue is one small ding on the upper bout by the horn. The composite neck is in super shape with no marks and has a super J-Bass feel to it. All components are intact and working as they should. No electrical concerns. Pardon the gloss reflections of the outdoors in the bass. This guitar was recently set up and responded well. You will receive this item well-packed in an aftermarket gig bag but without a case, the original paperwork or packaging. Please contact this seller for additional information.
