I built a beautiful replacement chassis for my Kory PolySix and quickly got numerous requests to do the same for the Korg Mono/Poly. The sides and front rail are crafted out of solid walnut which is quite expensive. (Oak or maple are possibilities too...feel free to contact me with other requests) The bottom panel is made out of quality maple plywood (no particle board or utility grade plywood here).

A common complaint of owners of Mono/Polys were the cheap particle board body that banged up and crumbled easily.   Likely, yours is suffering that problem. Then maybe this is just what you need to make your rare Mono/Poly look far better than factory new.   Not only will this upgrade increase your pride in your great sounding analog synth, but it will also increase it's resale value.

RF shielding will be installed in the same size and area as it currently is in your original Mono/Poly case.  The bottom is sprayed jet black. Furniture nut inserts come pre-installed. All you have to do is transfer your existing keyboard, circuit boards, bender unit, power supply, rubber feet and use your existing screws. I'll include a sheet of all the metric screw sizes in case you are missing a few and need to pick some up from the hardware store.
Instead of staples and glue, I chose to attach the finished end caps with wood screws from the inside. That way if you should ever bang one up, likely you could get a hold of me, and I can make you a new end cap vs. needing a whole new chassis.

Testimonials for the bodies I've made for the PolySix, Mono/Poly and Kawai SX-240:
"It arrived safely and I appreciate having my Mono/Poly looking like an 11/10 better than it did from the factory."- M.N

"Just transferred the electronics to the chassis that you built and I must say this piece is a work of art. Everything fit perfectly and It looks like it should have back in 1980. It is well worth the money. Taking my time it took me about an hour. I took some photos before I disassembled for reference and I didn't even need them because everything fit like the original. Your effort is 100 percent better than Korg's laminated press wood board and looks to match. Thanks" - D.H

"Great job on the case! I'm a happy customer and my PolySix will be happy too!!!" - F.W.

"
Just got the appropriate hardware to get everything back into place and put it together. They came out great! Thanks. I took a couple pics I will send them later. So happy. Thank you!"  - M.B.

"Wood Side panels for Kawai SX240 EXACTLY as described, packed well, Quick Ship!" - R.P.

This is custom made and I should be able to build yours and ship within 10 days of purchase, so no long waits for these! (International shipping is possible...please contact me first)

Local pickup is fine in the Chicago burbs and if you pick up, I'll delete the shipping charge.

I hate to state the obvious, but this auction is for a replacement custom made wooden body only.   This auction is not for a synthesizer, just a Mono/Poly chassis.   **This is a custom order item. Upon purchase, I will start work on it and have it shipped within 10 days.
