First off...PLEASE read all the details and ask questions BEFORE you buy!
I have had many people buy my guitars over the years and been incredibly happy but once in awhile I get those buyers who are like a kid in a candy store and buy via looking at photos vs reading the details.
Then once it arrives I get accused for things that were clearly disclosed in the listings info.
I am not a store, I am a private seller and I am not selling these to test drive and then decide you don't like the feel or looks of it afterwards.
All I ask is that you please do not waste my time nor your own.
Need more details and photos? Happy to help you, just please ask first!
The amount of time I play acoustics vs how many I own does not make much sense (to me) so I will be listing as couple to lighten the herd so to speak.
Had this Morales (late 60s early 70s I suspect) for 6 years and it has been an awesome old guitar.
Very loud and balanced without being overly bassy or bright.
All the appointments of a higher end model comparing to other Japanese acoustics at the time and was their highest model in the Folk Western guitar series.
Specs include:
cellulose inlays and guard
fret edge binding
1 piece flamed mahogany neck (no wings on the headstock).
Spruce veneer (upon closer inspection it appears to be a veneer over a solid sheet) over solid wood (cedar?) top and maple back & sides.
Really nice red and chocolate rosewood board.
The cellulose inlays have shrunk & the cellulose pickguard crackled but they are intact and do not impede playability.
A proper nicely compensated and adjusted saddle/bridge & new nut would do this guitar some justice so you might have to do some setting up on it to play how you like however I am not sure you will be able to get the action super low on this model as it was not constructed to be that way.
No odd or abnormal humps behind the bridge but rather very minimal and consistent, no brace issues.
Only one I have seen of this model.
Comes with the original elephant skinned hardcase and the original key for the lock.
Original Gotoh tuners that still work perfectly and the factory low frets are nice and consistent with no major play wear anomalies.
